Nairobi Innovation Week 2018

eKitabu in collaboration with UNICEF Kenya attended the Nairobi Innovation Week opened to the public on 7th to 10th March 2018 at the Nairobi University grounds. 2018 theme was “Innovating for a Better Tomorrow.”

Cabinet Secretary for Education Dr. Amina Mohamed officially launched the event at UNICEF Stand on Wednesday 7th March.

Nairobi Innovation Week is an annual event which started in 2016. The event highlights  innovation and entrepreneurship from different regions of the world.

eKitabu engaged audience to showcase the  innovation in collaboration with UNICEF on accessible digital content for Special Needs students; (the Visually and Hearing Impaired) in Technology for Inclusive Education (TfIE) project.

The event enabled various Start Up companies in innovation present their ideas engaging in workshops, panel discussions as well as structured presentations through one on one engagement  and interaction.

Other members of the innovative tech-industry present were Finish-developed career and recruitment platform Fuzu as well as the Discovery Center a Youth Coding Club.
